Act II

On this page, write the overall Choice of your story in a single sentence.

Your choice should be incredibly difficult, forcing the character to choose between the best bad choice (save the baby or the old lady, but not both), or between two irreconcilable and opposite good things (choose lover A and break B’s heart, or break A’s heart and choose B).

Within that, your overall story Choice can be further divided into its own Conflict, Choice and Consequence.

What is Act II’s Conflict? How does it force your character out of the everyday and into your story?

Further, your Choice section will add three Obstacles the protagonist must overcome on the way to making the Choice. Some writers call these Progressive Complications.

What is your first Obstacle, and how does it hinder or complicate your character’s actions?
